5-DAY OPTIONS TRAINING COURSE
Day 4
Using the UOA Screener
Day 4: Using the UOA Screener
A. Find Interesting Trades Using the UOA Screener
The Unusual Options Activity Screener is a great way to see the stocks that are trading with elevated options activity... right now. Here's just one quick way to filter the stocks that are trading with Relatively high Options volumes versus their average activity over the last month.
- Go to the UOA Page
- Click IV up
- Sort RV
- Look at top 5 and click the cell in the "Volume" column.
- Look for high volume and/or High Volume vs OI.
- Close the window.
- Click the Ticker and investigate further. Buyer? Spread?
B. Repeat the Day 1 routine. (DAY 1)
Keep adding to your Options Watchlist.
Reminder, add the same tickers to the Stock Watchlist.
With the Stock Watchlist, you can use the dropdown on the Home Page to isolate the Options Flow to specific names. By adding the stocks from your Options Watchlist, you'll be able to see if activity picks up in those names. Seeing repeated Options Flow in the same direction can give you further confidence in your assessment of the situation.
C. Options Watchlist
Review the options in your Options Watchlist. Have any increased substantially over the last few days?
If so, take a look at the news. What caused the stock to move?
Then, pick three options on your list and look at their charts. What do the charts say - Bullish or Bearish?
