Yes, it’s 50-50 to be right guessing up or down. But that stat is not just about direction.
You must be right on the direction AND (a capital “and”) the put option must reach TRIPLE-DIGIT returns!
Trust me, the last part of that requirement is most difficult.
Maybe more interestingly, only 21.5% of all these hedges ended positive. This means that buying puts in these ETFs lost money 78.5% of the time if you held them until expiration.
And worse, 62.7% of these ETF put options expired at $0!

You can see in the SPY (S&P 500) chart above that it essentially went straight up except for 5 weeks in late-February to Mid-March.
It ain’t easy making money buying Puts in that environment.
But here’s some interesting facts about the Winning Picks Premium Service .

What does this Buying Put data mean?
The 49% stat should tell you that I have done a phenomenal job choosing the right time frames to hedge.
Yes, it’s 50-50 to be right guessing up or down. But that stat is not just about direction.
You must be right on the direction AND (a capital “and”) the put option must reach TRIPLE-DIGIT returns!
Trust me, the last part of that requirement is most difficult.
Maybe more interestingly, only 21.5% of all these hedges ended positive. This means that buying puts in these ETFs lost money 78.5% of the time if you held them until expiration.
And worse, 62.7% of these ETF put options expired at $0!
